English|International Shipping & Customs Policy

General rules for international orders

  1. Duty handling depends on destination. For US orders (USD 2,500 or below), customs duty is prepaid by JUSPIRIT and included in your checkout total. For US orders over USD 2,500, and all EU and other international orders, import duty, VAT, or other customs charges remain the recipient's responsibility, payable locally.
  2. Declared value reflects the actual transaction amount. We declare the true value and contents of every shipment and do not under-declare value or mark commercial shipments as gifts to avoid duties.
  3. For duty-on-delivery regions (e.g. EU), packages returned due to unpaid duties are the buyer's responsibility. The round-trip shipping cost and any resulting loss will be charged to the buyer; the original shipping fee is non-refundable.
  4. Shipping method is arranged case by case, based on weight, destination, and delivery timeline, using Taiwan Post (including EMS), DHL, or other couriers.
  5. Accurate recipient information is required, including a complete address, contact phone, and any tax ID needed for customs clearance.

United States (effective July 24, 2026)

  • From July 24, 2026, Taiwan Post calculates the duty on US merchandise mail from the US tariff code (HTSUS) of each item, its country of origin, declared value, quantity and weight, and adds a fixed USD 2 Entry Fee per item (whether or not duty applies), plus a brokerage handling fee; charges are converted to NT dollars at the Bank of Taiwan spot selling rate of the previous business day. This applies to declared values up to USD 2,500; orders over USD 2,500 require a formal customs entry filed by the recipient.
  • Non-commercial gifts, documents, and books valued at USD 100 or below remain duty-free.
  • For declared values up to USD 2,500: taxes are prepaid by JUSPIRIT. To keep things simple, we prepay these charges at checkout as 15% of declared value plus USD 2 per item. This is already included in your checkout total, so you do not need to pay anything on delivery. Any difference in the actual amount is absorbed by JUSPIRIT.
  • For declared values over USD 2,500: no prepayment; the recipient files a formal customs entry. Because our US checkout total includes prepaid taxes by default, please place your order but do not pay online yet, and contact us. We will remove the prepaid taxes, adjust your order to the correct amount, and ask you to complete payment. You pay the duty directly to US customs on delivery.

European Union (effective July 1, 2026)

  • Effective July 1, 2026, the EU removed the duty-free threshold for imports under EUR 150 and introduced a simplified duty of EUR 3 per distinct tariff classification. Orders with multiple product types (e.g. pens and ink) may be charged per item type.
  • Exception: personal gifts between individuals valued at EUR 45 or below remain duty-free (generally private person-to-person only; customs interpretation may vary).
  • JUSPIRIT does not hold an IOSS account, and Taiwan Post does not offer a sender-prepayment option for the EU, so EU orders remain duty-collect-on-delivery.
